The impact of stress and burnout is a significant problem that is increasingly affecting individuals all around the world. In fact, the World Health Organization (WHO) now recognizes burnout as an occupational phenomenon. Burnout is characterized by chronic emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment.
This is a serious condition that can negatively affect one's personal and professional lives, leading to poor job performance, absenteeism, and a reduced overall quality of life.
The COVID-19 pandemic has only worsened the situation, with more than 4 out of 10 workers (44%) reporting increased work stress, according to a survey by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). The Asana’s Anatomy of Work research found that 7 in 10 knowledge workers experienced burnout.
This has resulted in significant mental health challenges for many workers, including depression and anxiety, and related physical health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disorders, and gastrointestinal problems.
To combat this growing issue, the Foundation was established to help workers overcome anxiety and stress, allowing them to achieve their goals with greater joy, focus, and fulfillment.
The Foundation is committed to helping workers achieve several key objectives, including:
